'NOVA' to air CRISPR documentary tonight

PBS' science show "NOVA" will air the CRISPR documentary "Human Nature" tonight and will also make the film available for streaming online for at least a month. The feature-length documentary, which calls the gene editing technology “the most important scientific discovery of the 21st century” in its trailer, aired at SXSW last year, and is described as “a provocative exploration of CRISPR’s far-reaching implications, through the eyes of the scientists who discovered it, the families it’s affecting, and the bioengineers who are testing its limits.” The documentary was produced by veteran journalist Dan Rather and includes commentary from Jennifer Doudna, Feng Zhang, George Church, and others behind the controversial technique.
