FDNY Union Officials Demand Answers On 9/11 Toxic Air Report
New York City's fire unions call the lack of transparency over the health threats posed by the air quality a shocking betrayal, 6ABC Philadelphia reported. On Sept. 11, 2001, 343 firefighters died. Since then, 453 FDNY members have died from World Trade Center-related illnesses, and more than 12,000 others have been diagnosed with at least one illness linked to their exposure at Ground Zero.
