This 53-page report discusses two surveys of adults living in 24 counties along the Texas coast that were particularly hard-hit by Hurricane Harvey in 2017, in order to understand the needs and circumstances of vulnerable Texans affected by the hurricane. The surveys were conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation and the Episcopal Health Foundation. While most people surveyed feel that they themselves, along with local, state, and federal officials are at least somewhat prepared to deal with hurricanes in the future, about half say they have not personally taken any specific steps to prepare for future hurricanes.

This 31-page qualitative comparative case study project identifies good practices related to community preparedness for tick-borne diseases in Spain and the Netherlands. It also identifies inter-sectoral collaboration between health and non-health-related sectors with regard to tick-borne diseases, and practices that could be of use for other European Union countries in the area of public health preparedness.

The aim of this 49-page case study project is to identify enablers and barriers for community and institutional synergies related to preparedness and control of tick-borne diseases in the Netherlands. It identifies good practices and patterns of cooperation between affected communities and the official institutions mandated to address tick-borne diseases such as TBE and lyme borreliosis, and model community engagement action for other European Union countries.
