Refugee resettlement directory removed from HHS site
The staff directory for the Office of Refugee Resettlement has been removed from the HHS website, according to a report released this morning by the Sunlight Foundation's Web Integrity Project. The group — which keeps tabs on HHS sites — has previously documented the deletion of information on the ACA, lesbian and bisexual health, and other resources. Before late 2017, there was an ORR directory with emails and phone numbers for staff, including those in the director’s office, refugee services division, and children’s services branch. Now, there’s only a mailing address, media contact, and a hotline for parents of unaccompanied minors.
The report comes as ORR is increasingly in the public eye: The office is responsible for reuniting migrant children with their families and is also embroiled in a court battle over abortion access for immigrant teens.
