Please review the following bulletin for information regarding the Enterprise Master Data Management (eMDM) system. CMS Application Maintainers and Business Components should review this information to determine whether there will be any impact to their daily operations.
Summary: For our current stakeholders who access the MDM 2.0 PMI/SPP tables and NPI Views in IDR or as extracts on Mainframe, MDM is ingesting TMSIS Medicaid Provider Individual data as a new data source.
Impact: As part of the Medicaid data ingestion, the MDM 2.0 PMI/SPP tables and the NPI Views will be modified to include new tables and additional attributes to existing tables. There will also be a significant increase in the volume of the data present in each of the PMI/SPP tables and NPI Views.
Status: MDM team is currently performing sprints to complete development efforts with a tentative production migration date at the end of December, 2018.
Information Session: The MDM team will hold information sharing/stakeholder comment sessions for the proposed changes to the PMI/SPP tables and NPI views during the week of 11/26 and 12/3. An invitation will be sent to all the stakeholders for the information sessions with additional information pertaining to the changes. Please plan to attend one of the sessions to learn about the changes and to give feedback that will enable MDM to determine whether the tentative production migration date needs to be adjusted to accommodate any resulting stakeholder modifications.
