NCCIH has several exciting job opportunities available.
Epidemiologist: we’re looking for an epidemiologist to join our team. This long-term contract position involves collaborating with NCCIH’s Epidemiology Group to identify compelling unresolved research questions in the epidemiology of pain and/or complementary health approaches, identifying existing data sets that can be used to answer these questions, and developing and implementing analysis plans. The position also involves taking the lead in programming statistical software, interpreting data, and writing scientific manuscripts and presentations.
Postdoctoral openings in the Section of Sensory Cells and Circuits: the deadline for applying for is November 6. This lab seeks to understand the molecules, cells, and neural circuits that generate innocuous and noxious sensations and uncover how perception is altered by context. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. and a record of research productivity. Experience in imaging, electrophysiology (in vitro and/or in vivo), coding, and/or mouse behavior would be a plus.
