What does Washington’s drug-pricing kumbaya actually mean?
The world is preparing for at least two years of partisan gridlock in Washington, but there’s at least one thing leaders from both parties seem to agree on: Drug prices are too high.
What they’ll actually do in terms of policy remains to be seen. The sweeping proposals that got many Democrats elected are likely nonstarters in the Republican-controlled Senate, but there are some marginal changes that could be palatable to both chambers at the expense of the drug industry.
