CDC reports four more pediatric flu deaths

Flu activity has hit its highest level this season, the CDC says. The percentage of people visiting a health care provider for flu-like illness jumped to 4.3 percent in the week ending Feb. 2, up from 3.8 percent the week before. But that's still much lower than the peak of 7.5 percent last flu season. Health officials have also reported another four pediatric flu deaths, bringing the total number of flu-related deaths in children to 28 this season. The CDC says it expects flu activity to remain high for a number of weeks and is reminding the public that a flu vaccine is the best protection against flu viruses.
