A growing number of consumers are tapping into digital health tools, according to Rock Health's annual survey of 4,000 U.S. adults. Here's a quick look at the findings:
  • The survey found that 89 percent of respondents used at least one digital health tool in 2018, up from 80 percent in 2015. Those tools can range from wearable devices to websites with health information.
  • More people who use wearable devices are doing so to address a health condition. The survey found 30 percent of wearable users sport the devices to manage a diagnosis, up from 20 percent in 2017.
  • But more people are ditching their wearables. In 2018, 39 percent of wearables stopped using their devices, compared to 27 percent in 2017.
