A variety of interventions have been tested to reduce interruptions during the medication administration process, including the use of vests worn by nurses with messaging designed to deter interruptions. Patients' perceptions of such messaging remains unknown. In this observational study, researchers found that the use of such vests may be perceived negatively by patients and deter them from interrupting nurses, even for urgent care needs.
