Leading the Way: Maximizing the Power of Youth and Young Adult Leadership in Communities Talk

Join SAMHSA and a panel of young people on June 25 to learn how to engage youth in Communities Talk events. Given that youth and young adults face many challenges that are unique to their age group, their meaningful involvement in underage drinking prevention efforts can be a powerful means for driving behavior change among their peers. Involving youth and young adults in hosting a Communities Talk event allows them to take on the roles of leaders and decision-makers in framing the discussion content, selecting guest speakers, fostering partnerships, and developing materials.
