Planning Grants for Global Infectious Disease Research Training Program (D71 - Clinical Trials Not Allowed) (PAR-19362) provide support for institutions in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to design a research training program in collaboration with U.S. collaborators; and to strengthen LMIC faculty and prepare advanced courses and training resources for the program envisioned at the LMIC institution.

About Fogarty's Global Infectious Disease (GID) Research Training Program
The Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Diseases Initiative (EEID), a joint National Institutes of Health (NIH)-National Science Foundation (NSF) program, supports efforts to understand the underlying ecological and biological mechanisms that govern relationships between human-induced environmental changes and the emergence and transmission of infectious diseases.
