Scientific Review Officer

NIAID seeks talented, motivated, and qualified individuals to serve as scientific review officers (SROs) in the Scientific Review Program (SRP) of the Division of Extramural Activities (DEA).  SROs assess submissions for compliance with funding opportunity announcement (FOA) instructions and HHS, NIH, and NIAID policies; identify the areas of science represented; and recruit, assign, instruct, and oversee experts who evaluate and identify the most meritorious applications and/or proposals.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens and demonstrate that they have worked independently in planning, organizing, and conducting biomedical behavioral health or health-related research and served effectively in research program administration in these fields.
