This report details how in 2017, the Connecticut Department of Children and Families and the Child Health and Development Institute of Connecticut started disseminating Bounce Back, an evidence-based adaptation of Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS) for elementary-aged children, to schools to assist younger students experiencing traumatic stress. Children receiving Bounce Back showed a 75 percent reduction in symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder following participation in the intervention. (Text)
