Program Year 2020 Teaching Hospital List Now Available
The updated Open Payments Program Year 2020 Teaching Hospital List (in PDF and XLSX) is now available. The teaching hospital list identifies which teaching hospitals are considered covered recipients and are reportable in Program Year 2020.
Note that this list should only be used for Program Year 2020, data collected from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.

Key (de minimis) Thresholds for Program Year 2020 Reporting
The Open Payments key (de minimis) thresholds for reporting have been adjusted based on the Consumer Price Index.
Small payments or other transfers of value of less than $10.97 do not need to be reported, except when the total annual value of payments or other transfers of value to a covered recipient exceeds $109.69 for Program Year 2020.
Note that these amounts only apply to Program Year 2020, data collected from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.

Open Payments System Enhancements
This past September the Open Payments System was updated with three new enhancements. These enhancements consist of an updated physician matching, a new compliance portal, and an ability to view all system generated emails associated with an organization. Details of these enhancements are provided below.
Physician Matching Enhancements: new ability to validate physician information and download results at any time during or outside the submission period.
Compliance Portal: Functionality for the CMS Open Payments Compliance team to upload copies of any compliance related communications that may be sent to reporting entities.
System Generated Emails: Ability to view all system generated emails messages associated with an organization.
