In order to help illuminate the major needs for an international coordinated response to chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) events, highlight major challenges, and develop a common basis for future discussions, an ad hoc committee of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine organized an international, science-based CBRN resilience workshop in Tokyo, Japan, on October 23-25, 2017.
