Pro Football Hall of Fame launches new health venture

The Pro Football Hall of Fame is getting into the health space. Yesterday, it announced the launch of Hall of Fame Health, a new venture that will work to ensure health care and coverage for all former NFL players. Health insurance coverage for football hall of famers has been a point of contention in the past, especially since football players have a higher risk of injury and die at faster rates than athletes of other sports. The Hall of Fame is partnering with health management company Sovereign Healthcare to develop the new entity. Hall of Fame Health is already looking into developing health plans for retirees and their families, and has plans to expand some of its offerings to the general public as well.
