Cell Phone Safety: FDA Releases Literature Review, Web Page Updates

Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing the release of a scientific literature review on the health effects of radio frequency radiation emitted by cell phones as well as web page updates on cell phone safety.
Review of Published Literature between 2008 and 2018 of Relevance to Radio Frequency Radiation and Cancer  (112 pages, PDF-1.3MB) supports the FDA’s determination that there is no consistent or credible scientific evidence of health problems caused by the exposure to radio frequency energy emitted by cell phones.
The FDA also updated the Cell Phones section of the FDA.gov website to provide information on topics such as:
  • Radio Frequency Radiation and Cell Phones
  • Do Cell Phones Post a Health Hazard?
