SOPS^® Fact: Results Available from SOPS Ambulatory Surgery Center and Medical Office Databases

The SOPS Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Database Report was released in January. Here are some quick findings:

• There were 282 participating ASCs and 10,527 respondents
• Staffing, Work Pressure, and Pace was the lowest scoring composite measure
• 86% of respondents rated their ASC as “Excellent” or “Very good” on patient safety
  

The SOPS Medical Office Database Report was released this month. Here are some highlights:

• There were 1,475 participating medical offices and 18,396 respondents
• Patient Care Tracking/Followup was the highest scoring composite measure
• 56% of respondents rated their medical office as “Excellent” or “Very good” at minimizing waits and potentially harmful delays
