Modern Healthcare: Congress Faces Key Healthcare Legislation Deadlines In December
The last major healthcare bills Congress passed were to cut more than $1 trillion from the health system with last summer’s tax law and to extend a raft of expiring programs. With the exception of taking a whack at pharmacy benefit managers, lawmakers have left every other important healthcare proposal on the shelf while feuding over immigration, war powers and other issues with little bearing on the health sector.
