Evaluation of an electronic dosing calculator to reduce pediatric medication errors.

Pediatric medication dosing is often weight-based and therefore subject to calculation errors. This prospective study demonstrated that use of a clinical decision support tool (a dosing calculator) significantly reduced medication errors.
