Factors impacting physician use of information charted by others.

The copy-and-paste phenomenon in clinical documentation can result in perpetuating incorrect or irrelevant information. Using the Delphi method, researchers identified 39 factors influencing physician use of particular information documented by others in the electronic health recordand conclude that information quality is one of the most important.
