Medicare Advantage Value-Based Insurance Design Model - Year One Evaluation Findings Webinar
The Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMS Innovation Center) is hosting a webinar Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 12:15 p.m. EST, which will provide an overview of the evaluation findings from Model Year One of the Value-Based Insurance Design (VBID) Model. Through the VBID Model, CMS is testing a broad array of complementary Medicare Advantage health plan innovations designed to reduce Medicare program expenditures, enhance the quality of care for Medicare beneficiaries, including those with low incomes such as dual-eligibles, and improve the coordination and efficiency of health care service delivery. The VBID Model contributes to the modernization of Medicare Advantage and tests whether these model components improve health outcomes and lower expenditures for Medicare Advantage enrollees.
During the webinar, CMS subject matter experts and the VBID evaluation team will provide a description of the VBID model benefit designs and targeted conditions from the 2017 VBID model participants, as well as early implementation and participation of Parent Organizations (POs) and beneficiaries. The webinar will discuss the main findings of the Model Year One Report, including:
- uptake;
- mixed intervention approaches; and
- early implementation experiences.
Registration for the webinar is now open.
