Good morning, folks! This is my last edition of Morning Rounds. Starting Monday, Shraddha Chakradhar will get you ahead of the day's news. There's a note from me at the end of this newsletter — but first, here's what you need to know about health and medicine today.

1 in 4 people who take prescriptions have trouble affording them

One-quarter of people in the U.S. who take prescription medicines say they have a hard time paying for those drugs, according to a new pollfrom the Kaiser Family Foundation. The group that most frequently reported difficulty affording their drugs: people ages 50 to 64, who take more medications than younger people but aren’t old enough to qualify for prescription coverage through Medicare. The poll also found that nearly 30 percent of people said they didn’t take their medicines as prescribed at some point in the past year due to cost.
The poll comes as lawmakers and the Trump administration continue to talk about how to tackle rising drug costs. One idea on the table: requiring drug makers to disclose list prices in ads. The poll found that 88 percent of the public supports that idea.
