Beverly Hills weighing ban on all tobacco sales

The famed city of Beverly Hills is considering a ban on the sale of all tobacco products. The city’s health commission is meeting today to finalize its recommendation, which it will present to city officials in May. If the regulation were approved, Beverly Hills would be the first city in the nation with such a ban. At the end of last year, the city banned the sale of flavored tobacco products, and another ban prohibiting smoking in multiunit housing buildings went into effect at the beginning of this year.
