Does all the buzz about CBD have you dazed and confused? In a new video explainer, STAT’s Nicholas Florko tackles the increasingly popular supplement that’s derived from the marijuana plant. From Parkinson’s disease to separation anxiety in dogs, everyone (including the lone video store in my conservative Kentucky hometown!) seems to be selling CBD for a range of conditions. But most of these products are still illegal, and it’s unclear what the FDA’s thinking is on how to get the booming market under some kind of regulatory control.
