Validation of a mobile app for reducing errors of administration of medications in an emergency.

This randomized, crossover simulation study compared anesthesiologists' prescribing with and without clinical decision support from a mobile application. Instances of dosage errors were lower in simulations using the application compared to simulations without the application, suggesting it may be a promising approach to enhance medication safety.
