Direct Contracting (DC) Model Options Letter of Intent Update

We are writing to remind you that the Direct Contracting Model Letter of Intent (LOI) for the Professional and Global Population Based Payment (PBP) Options is due on August 2, 2019. We urge all interested stakeholders to submit their letters as soon as possible. CMS will use this information to better understand the scope and spread of organizations interested in participating in the payment model options available under DC. The LOI is required for any entities planning to apply to the model. However, submitting an LOI does not obligate an organization to apply. For any questions regarding the Direct Contracting LOI, send an email to DPC@cms.hhs.gov.

CMS plans to release a Request for Applications (RFA) for organizations interested in the Professional PBP and Global PBP options during the Summer/Fall of 2019. The RFA will describe the eligibility requirements, payment methodology, available benefit enhancements, and selection criteria.
