Demystifying Services for the Seriously Ill: Palliative Care and Hospice 101
Join the HHS Partnership Center and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organizations for the first of two webinars that will provide an overview of health care services for the seriously ill, as well as for their families, and discuss the essential differences between palliative and hospice care. We will also focus on how communities and congregations can connect their members to these person-centered services that address the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient with respect and dignity -- and share real world examples.

Community Partnerships Improve Access to Palliative Care, Hospice, and Bereavement Services
Our second webinar will focus on the ways local faith and community-based organizations can help to educate their members and create greater access to hospice and palliative care services. We will also address myths and potential barriers to accessing care through the promotion of advance-care conversations, as well as engaging communities with programs, such as We Honor Veterans, The Conversation Project, trauma-informed care, community bereavement programs, and much more!
