The HHS emPOWER program, a partnership between ASPR and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, provides dynamic data and mapping tools to help communities protect the health of more than 4.1 million Medicare beneficiaries who live independently and rely on electricity-dependent medical equipment and health care services. To date, more than 50K public health authorities and their partners have accessed the emPOWER Map to support targeted emergency preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation activities for at-risk individuals throughout the emergency management cycle.
