This 16-page health and climate change country profile for the Solomon Islands, developed with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), provides a summary of available evidence on climate hazards, health vulnerabilities, health impacts, and progress to date in the health sector’s efforts to realize a climate-resilient health system. Health risks related to climate change of considerable concern to the Solomon Islands include vector-borne diseases, respiratory diseases, waterborne and food-borne diseases, malnutrition, and noncommunicable diseases.
