Scientific Review Officer

NIAID seeks talented, motivated, and qualified individuals to serve as scientific review officers (SROs) in the Scientific Review Program of the Division of Extramural Activities. Join NIAID's scientific workforce and play a key role in helping to identify the most meritorious basic, translational, or clinical research in support of the NIAID mission.

SROs interpret, implement, and ensure that grant applications and contract proposals adhere to HHS, NIH, and NIAID peer review policies and participate in the development of new FOAs. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and demonstrate that they have worked independently in planning, organizing, and conducting biomedical behavioral health or health-related research and served effectively in research program administration in these fields.
