AHRQ Report and Blog Discuss 47 Practices to Improve Patient Safety
Just in time for Patient Safety Awareness Week, a new AHRQ report updates important patient safety practices for evidence of effectiveness, implementation, and adoption. Making Health Care Safer III reviews 47 evidence-based, field-tested practices on topics such as medication management, healthcare-associated infections, nursing-sensitive practices, safety and injury, and other issues. In an AHRQ Views blog posted today, Jeff Brady, M.D., M.P.H., Director of AHRQ’s Center for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, discusses how the Agency continues to set the standard in patient safety research with the report, which was released yesterday. Don’t forget to join our Twitter Chat on making care transitions safe, tomorrow at noon. Follow @AHRQNews for details. Access the report or watch Dr. Brady’s video.
