Medicare Advantage Value-Based Insurance Design (VBID) Model CY2021 Application Update

The CY 2021 Applications for the Value-Based Insurance Design (VBID) Model are now due on Friday, April 24, 2020 by 11:59 p.m. EDT. This applies to all VBID Model components, including value-based insurance design by socioeconomic status, Medicare Advantage (MA) and Part D rewards and incentives, wellness and health care planning and the hospice benefit component.

Interested organizations must apply online via the CY 2021 online application, which will be made available to applicants with the availability of the CY 2021 Request for Applicants (RFA) for the VBID Model. Medicare Advantage Organizations (MAOs) should reference the CY 2020 VBID RFA (PDF) for information on offering VBID by condition, socioeconomic status, or both, MA and Part D Rewards and Incentives, and Wellness and Health Care Planning (WHP). MAOs should reference the CY 2021 VBID Hospice Benefit Component RFA for application questions that will be captured through the online application.
