NIAID Now: Animated Video Explores Antibiotic Resistance

Antibiotic resistance is no laughing matter—but through cartoons, it can be made more accessible. Recently, NIH MedlinePlus Magazine at the National Library of Medicine produced a short animated video highlighting the problem of antibiotic resistance, and illustrating how NIAID is researching new diagnostics, therapies, and other ways to combat evolving bacteria. In a new blog post, NIAID Now spoke with the video’s animator, Jeff Day, M.D., about how the video came to be, and the importance of making science accessible.
