Council to Improve Foodborne Outbreak Response (CIFOR) Law Project |
In 2013, CIFOR analyzed foodborne disease surveillance and investigation laws in select states. Tools created through this work include a public health practitioner handbook with information about how to implement foodborne disease surveillance and investigation laws, and a menu of recommended laws that state and local public health officials and policy makers might consider. These tools can help state and local public health agencies improve legal preparedness for foodborne disease detection and outbreak response.
