SAMHSA invites you to join a TA Coalition webinar with the National Federation of Families for Childrenʹs Mental Health about the importance of family peer support, including insights on how this practice has emerged over the years from a grassroots volunteer service to an effective and valuable service for parents within any child-serving system. The presenters will define family peer support, provide evidence of the benefit of these services, and demonstrate a variety of roles that family peers play in their roles with family and in the community.

Webinar on Suicide Prevention in Later LifeMonday, March 26, 2018 | 2–3:30 p.m. Eastern Time
SAMHSA invites you to join a TA Coalition webinar with the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors about the importance of suicide prevention in later life, with an emphasis on increasing social connectedness as a means for prevention. The presenter will examine basic epidemiology of late-life suicide and discuss how the interpersonal theory of suicide together with a multifaceted intervention model can inform prevention efforts and reduce suicide risk later in life.
