You May Be Eligible for NHSC
Eligible nurses can help combat the nation’s opioid crisis while receiving up to $75,000 in student loan repayment through the National Health Service Corps Substance Use Disorder Workforce Loan Repayment Program (NHSC SUD Workforce LRP). In exchange, participants commit to serving for three years to provide substance use disorder treatment services at NHSC-approved SUD sites.

This program is available to several nursing professionals, including:
- Nurse practitioners;
- Certified nurse midwives;
- Registered nurses; and
- Psychiatric nurse specialists.

You will receive priority if you:
- Have a DATA 2000 waiver;
- Serve in an opioid treatment program; or
- Are licensed or certified in substance use disorder interventions, such as master’s–level substance use disorder counselors.
