National Training Program

Medicare’s Open Enrollment Period is

October 15 - December 7

OEP 2019
Medicare health and drug plans can make changes each year—things like cost, coverage, and what providers and pharmacies are in their networks. October 15 to December 7 is when all people with Medicare can change their Medicare health plans and prescription drug coverage for the following year to better meet their needs.

These interactive training webinars are stand-alone events covering Medicare Program basics. You aren’t required to attend both days, and space is limited.
Topics for each day
Day 1—Medicare enrollment and eligibility; cost and coverage under Part A (Hospital Insurance), Part B (Medical Insurance); Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap) policies; and Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D).

Day 2—Medicare Advantage Plans; coordination of benefits; detecting and reporting suspected Medicare fraud, waste, and abuse; and helpful resources.

About the Continuing Education Units (CEUs)—The number of CEUs you can earn is 0.2 (2 hours) for each day you attend the training and complete all course requirements. A description of the requirements to earn CEUs for these training events is found on the registration page for each webinar.
