Its goal is to support development of vaccines that prevent serious Zika-associated clinical complications, and ensure availability and affordability for use in countries where Zika circulates. Vaccine development technology roadmaps produced by the World Health Organization aim to provide a strategic framework underpinning priority activities for vaccine researchers, funders, and product developers, with the goal to address globally unmet medical needs.
