Democratic voters most want to hear about health care in tonight’s debate
Ahead of tonight’s Democratic debate, health care is what Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters most want to hear about. Here’s more from a new poll:
- Debate topics: 24% of Demoratic and Democratic-leaning voters polled said health care was the topic they most wanted to hear about. Around 12% said climate change, while 4% said gun control.
- “Medicare For All”: The health plan is likely to be a big topic of discussion again, and the poll finds that across both parties, more than half support such a plan. Nearly twice as many Democrats as Republicans support some kind of public option, however.
- Drug pricing: Across both parties, most respondents said the Trump administration isn’t doing enough to combat rising drug prices. About 75% say the same of Democrats’ efforts, while 77% think so about Republicans’.
