Source: U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). Published: 10/2019. This 71-page report examines, among other objectives, what available federal data suggest about the number of non-federal National Priorities List (NPL) Superfund sites that are located in areas that may be impacted by selected climate change effects, and the extent to which the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has managed risks to human health and the environment from the potential impacts of climate change effects at such sites. It makes four recommendations to EPA, including that it clarify how its actions to manage risks at non-federal NPL sites from potential impacts of climate change align with current goals and objectives.
