Biotech CEOs need friends, too
It’s lonely at the top. That’s why a cadre of biotech CEOs have banded together, forming an exclusive club called the BioPharma Hub.
Members, particularly the heads of small biotech firms, pay a $4,500 annual fee to connect with their peers in this invite-only club, STAT’s Nicholas Florko writes. When they meet, they open up about their feelings and workshop solutions to the unique problems that come with bio-leadership, like juggling R&D with value creation. Members are mentored by top biotech dogs like MIT’s Phil Sharp and Bob Langer.

This isn’t some booze and cigars sort of deal.
“It’s like group therapy for biopharma CEOs,” BioPharma Hub’s founder told STAT. “These are very, very lonely jobs.”
