Inside STAT: An invite-only club for biotech CEOs offers something like 'group therapy'

(ADOBE)
The Boston-based BioPharma Hub is unlike what you may expect from an invite-only exclusive club for biotech CEOs. Instead of expensive cigars and cocktails, the club provides a space for new executives who mostly lead smaller companies to talk about their feelings and offers other outlets for improvement, including field trips to successful CEOs' offices. The price of entry is still hefty — $4,500 a year — but the club offers its members an opportunity to learn from one another about the in and outs of running their business, whether it’s dealing with a particular board member or recruiting top scientists. And it’s all done in a small group setting of 10 peers, with mentoring from biopharma legends like MIT’s Bob Langer and Phil Sharp. STAT Plus subscribers can read more from Nicholas Florko here
