Surgeon General's Call To Action To Prevent And Reduce Underage Drinking A Guide to Action for Educators
Surgeon General's Call To Action To Prevent And Reduce Underage Drinking A Guide to Action for Educators
The Surgeon General's Call to Action to Prevent and Reduce Underage Drinking seeks to raise awareness of and promote action on underage drinking and its effects. In addition to bringing attention to underage drinking and its negative consequences, the Call to Action identifies six goals for preventing and reducing youth drinking. A Guide to Action for Educators, which is based on the Call to Action, provides teachers and other school personnel with evidence-based and developmentally appropriate strategies and action steps that will help them prevent and reduce underage drinking. Both the Call to Action and the Guide to Action for Educators were developed in collaboration with the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
