RAND Profiles Effort to Improve Emotional Support for Inpatients
A new case study by RAND showcases a hospital’s successful implementation of a plan to improve the emotional support provided to inpatients by registered nurses and the rest of the nursing staff. This quality improvement effort illustrates one of many ways in which hospitals are working to improve their scores on the CAHPS Hospital Survey, which assesses patients’ experiences with hospital care.
