CIB: Best Practices for Addressing Prescription Opioid Overdoses, Misuse and Addiction

Today the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released an Informational Bulletin to provide information to states on the potential health risks associated with prescription opioid pain medications. The bulletin describes pharmacy benefit management strategies for mitigating prescription drug abuse and provides information on coverage and access to medication-assisted treatment.
