In recognition of World AIDS Day 2016, today the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA) issued an Informational Bulletin to inform state Medicaid agencies about important advances in HIV prevention, care and treatment that have occurred in the last five years.
Additionally, this bulletin highlights opportunities available to state Medicaid programs to drive improvements in the accessibility, quality, cost, and population-level impact of HIV prevention and care services available to Medicaid beneficiaries.
The Informational Bulletin is available on Medicaid.gov at https://www.medicaid.gov/ federal-policy-guidance/ federal-policy-guidance.html
Yesterday the White House issued a Fact Sheet regarding their comprehensive plan to improve HIV prevention, care, and research.
