SAMHSA Directs Additional Funding to Three States Hit Hard by Opioid CrisisGrants will enhance efforts in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and West Virginia |
SAMHSA will award additional grant funding to three states that have been hit especially hard by the opioid crisis. As part of President Trump’s multifaceted approach to combating a national public health emergency, SAMHSA is funding three one-year awards of $333,000 to Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and West Virginia. The additional funding will bolster the treatment and prevention work under way through the Opioid State Targeted Response grants previously issued to states, and will also be used to expand or enhance prevention, treatment, and recovery-support efforts.
