New results from the CAHPS® 2019 Health Plan Survey Database are now available:
- “How Well Doctors Communicate” was the highest scoring composite measure across all populations.
- “Getting Needed Care” was the lowest scoring composite measure across all populations.
- “Personal Doctor” was rated the highest by the Child Medicaid, CHIP, and Medicare populations and “Specialist” was rated the highest by the Adult Medicaid population among the four rating items.
Users can view results via an online reporting system, Chartbook, infographic, or research datasets.
AHRQ’s CAHPS Health Plan Survey asks enrollees about their recent experiences with their health plan and medical care. The 2019 Health Plan Survey Database includes 314,675 survey responses submitted for Medicaid, Medicare, and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) populations. Results are based on the voluntary submission of survey data to the CAHPS Database.
